The tacos were incredibly underwhelming for Texas, with no spice to speak of. Just a restaurant with nice staff members, but mediocre food. Joanna Gaines, can you hear me? Kimpton needs your help. The hotel still has traditional finishes and painted white wood everywhere, so it's a bit of an awkward mix. Easy to sleep, but the decor and/or lighting made the room depressing. (Dallas has a lot of options, and admittedly, this hotel might be closer to "very good" in my mind, rather than "average", in a town like Syracuse with less competition.) Rooms: Modern but dark. ![]() The combination of the location, the sleepy lobby with no rooftop or popular restaurant to boast of, and dark rooms make it hard for me to prioritize going back. That being said, as hard as this hotel is trying, I can think of better places to stay in Dallas for just a little more money. All around though, would not only recommend hotel to others but gladly stay again.I want to like this hotel because the staff members were really nice, my room was clean, and they offered drink tickets during happy hour (perhaps to make up for elevator construction at the time.) The value was definitely there in terms of the price for the experience. Also, when we got into our room, both toilet paper rolls had just a little on it and no spares so on the very first day we had to call for more toilet paper. 4 people in 1 room made it really hard to get ready at the same time. ![]() Our room had 2 queen beds that were actually very comfortable for a hotel and a decent size bathroom, but it would have been nice to have a mirror in the room itself and not just the bathroom. Was a little upset to pay $4 for drip coffee that was just brown water. Any complaints about the hotel are minor - BAD coffee from the restaurant. Call ahead when you need the car and then just pull up at front and they park it for you. I saw several reviews complaining about the valet but we found it great. Staff was great and very friendly - Tasha, Nate, Bryan & Jonah all really made our stay perfect!. The historic charm combined with modern upgrades and decoration make the whole place inviting. Its is the original Hilton that Conrad opened. A little hard to figure out on a first visit. If there was a negative, it was that the main entrance with the valet parking was on a side street around the corner from the official address. Alex (?) parked our car, brought up our bags, brought us extra chairs for our room, and delivered our missing water glasses with smiles! The young lady at the front desk on Tuesday and Wednesday was a delight and cheerfully helped us with some problems like our lost valet parking ticket! Our waitress for our breakfasts (if you reserve, add the breakfast option…you won’t be sorry) was amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, and yes, a little quirky. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and efficient. Best part of our stay was the exceptional service. We selected the Hotel Indigo because of its proximity to an exhibit we were visiting, but also because it seemed a little quirky and out of the ordinary.
